Gangtok – Darjeeling

Gangtok is a city, municipality, the capital and the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. It is also the headquarters of the East Sikkim district. Gangtok is in the eastern Himalayan range, at an elevation of 1,650 m (5,410 ft). Within the higher peaks of the Himalaya and with a year-round mild temperate climate, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim’s tourism industry.

Darjeeling is a city and a municipality in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in the Lesser Himalayas at an elevation of 2,000 metres (6,700 ft). It is noted for its tea industry, its views of the world’s third-highest mountain Kangchenjunga, and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Darjeeling is the headquarters of the Darjeeling district which has a partially autonomous status called Gorkhaland Territorial Administration within the state of West Bengal. It is also a popular tourist destination in India.

Itinerary

The Itinerary is given below –

Day 1

Dhaka to Siliguri by bus. Transfer to Gangtok & night stay.

Day 2

Gangtok Sightseeing. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 3

Gangtok to Darjeeling by car. Night stay at Darjeeling.

Day 4

Darjeeling sightseeing. Night stay at Darjeeling.

Day 5

Mirik sightseeing. Night stay at Siliguri.

Day 6

Free time at siliguri. After lunch Siliguri to Dhaka by bus.
