Darjeeling-Mirik-Pelling

Darjeeling is a town and municipality in the northernmost region of the Indian state of West Bengal. Located in the Eastern Himalayas, it has an average elevation of 2,045 metres (6,709 ft). To the west of Darjeeling lies the easternmost province of Nepal, to the east the Kingdom of Bhutan, to the north the Indian state of Sikkim, and farther north the Tibet Autonomous Region region of China. Bangladesh lies to the south and southeast, and most of the state of West Bengal lies to the south and southwest, connected to the Darjeeling region by a narrow tract. Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest mountain, rises to the north and is prominently visible on clear days.

Mirik is a small town and a Notified Area of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Mirik subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning “place burnt by fire”.

Pelling is a hill station in Gyalshing district of Sikkim, India. Pelling is nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The town is located at a distance of 10 km from Gyalshing city, the district headquarters and 131 km from Gangtok. A regular bus service connects the two towns. However, with the influx of tourists, the region is undergoing a metamorphosis, with the roads being repaired and hotels being set up.

Arrival Shiliguri To Mirik Meet & Greet on arrival transfer to Mirik Lake. An excellent picnic spot, nestled in forested hills at an altitude of 5800 ft., it is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake; orange orchards, cardamom plantations and tea estates enhance the Surroundings here. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2

Full Day Sight Seeing In Darjeeling Early Morning at 0400 AM visit Tiger Hill famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchenzonga, on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetean Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple. Day 3

Pelling
Darjeeling To Pelling [ 125 Kms ] Darjeeling To Pelling [ 125 Kms ] Transfer to Pelling via Temi Tea Garden & the Gurupadmasambhava statue. One can enjoy the spectacular Eastern Himalayan Range from Pelling. Overnight stay at hotel. via Temi Tea Garden & the Gurupadmasambhava statue. Day 4

Darjeeling
In Pelling After breakfast start for full day sight seeing which includes Pemayangtse Monastery, Rimbi Falls, and Kanchenjunga falls, Singh shore Bridge, Khecheopalri Lake, Darap Village and Changey Falls. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5

Departure
Pelling To Shiliguri [ 150 Kms ] Morning free for packing & personal activities. After breakfast transfer to SHYMOLY bus counter.
