Shimla–Manali–Dharamshala

Shimla is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The colonial architecture and churches, the temples, and the natural environment of the city attracts tourists. Major city centre’s attractions include the Shri Hanuman Jakhu (Statue), Jakhu Temple, Viceregal Lodge, Christ Church, Mall Road, The Ridge and Annadale. The city centre’s northern most point is Jakhoo and the southern most location is Annadale, and the easternmost point is Sanjauli and western point is Chotta Shimla. The Kalka–Shimla Railway line built by the British, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also a major tourist attraction. Owing to its steep terrain, Shimla hosts the mountain biking race MTB Himalaya, which started in 2005 and is regarded as the biggest event of its kind in South Asia. Shimla also has the largest natural ice skating rink in South Asia.

Manali is a resort and tourist town nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley in the Beas River Valley. It is located in the Kullu district, about 270 km (168 mi) north of the state capital, Shimla, 309 km (192 miles) northeast of Chandigarh, and 544 km (338 miles) northeast of Delhi, the national capital. The small town, with a population of 8,096, is the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin. It is a popular tourist destination and serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti district as well as Leh.

Dharamshala is a town in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The town is located in the Kangra Valley, in the shadow of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas at an altitude of 1,457 metres (4,780 ft). The town is now a major hill station and spiritual center.

Itinerary

The Itinerary is given below –

Day 1

Arrival in Shimla
After your arrival in Delhi airport, After your arrival in one of the most beautiful hill stations, you will check-in the hotel that is pre-booked and stay overnight after dinner!

Day 2

Shimla- Kufri- Shimla
Have breakfast in the morning, and then proceed to the sightseeing ventures of Shimla. You will witness Kufri, Ridge Maidan, the CHrist Church and the Mall Road for shopping ventures of the local items followed by the drive to the hotel. Overnight stay after dinner!

Day 3

Shimla to Manali
As soon as you finish off with your breakfast, you will follow the drive to Manali that is exactly 270 km away from Manali. Once you reach Manali, you will check-in the pre-booked hotel and rest for a while. With the cool clime and green environs surrounding you, you cannot have enough of the sightseeing and also adventures like, skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. En-route do not skip the Hanogi Mata Temple followed by return and overnight stay in the hotel in Manali.

Day 4

Manali to Rohtang Pass
When you are done with the morning breakfast, you will begin your journey to the Snow View Point or the Rohtang Pass where you will be enjoying the atmosphere. Pay a visit to the Buddhist Monastery and the Hadimba Devi Temple that holds its ensemble since the time of Mahabharata. After the same, return to Manali on a drive and stay overnight in the hotel!

Day 5

Manali- Chamunda- Dharamshala
Post the morning breakfast, check out from the hotel in Manali and set out on a tour to Dharamshala where you can also pay homage to the Chamunda Devi Temple, midway. Once you reach Dharamshala, you will check-in the hotel and stay overnight after spending a great sightseeing tour to the Budhist Monastery, Bhagsunag Temple and many other shopping spots.

Day 6

Dharamshala to Delhi
After the morning breakfast in Dharamshala, check-out of the hotel and depart for Delhi from where you will carry out the further journey to home. This brings an end to the efficient Delhi to Himachal Pradesh tour package.
